That’s why I believe with patience, kindness and the right attitude anyone can learn how to swim. Nothing brings me more joy when I see people of all ages embrace the beauty of water. I feel I have been given the gift to work with children and it is my true calling!”

A few words of introduction from Megan: Swimming is my passion and has been a part of my life ever since I first learnt to swim. My first feel of the water was at my Auntie’s swim school at the age of 2, and from there my love of the water continued through my school years and into my chosen career. I first fell in love with teaching children how to swim at age 16 when I decided to attend my first LTS instructors’ course. I attended my next course at age 18, once I matriculated, to further my knowledge. I have been teaching swimming for 4 years whilst pursuing my studies at the University of Johannesburg in sports psychology and sport science. My love for swimming and my study of the human body combines perfectly into my teaching. I enjoy being able to teach and share my love for swimming with little ones who are learning to swim. I hope to help grow their confidence and appreciation for the water, as well as develop their water skills and their understanding of the fundamentals of stroke.
